Most of our workforce is comprised of volunteers. If you have a few free hours that you can dedicate to others, or a skill that can be shared, we will be happy to channel it in the right direction.

We are happy you are pursuing your eduction and letting us be part of those dreams. We would like to emphasize that we are looking for very special people: Those who are battling or have overcome medical obstacles in pursuit of higher education.  Education held a special place in Luis' heart and it is our hope the The Luis E. Torres Scholarship Fund can help you gain a foothold as you pursue you education. We hope Luis' story will inspire you on your journey.

STEP 1: Please fill out the online application. All applications MUST include the most recent, sealed official copy of the students' transcript as well as a letter from your treating physician.

STEP 2: Applicants selected for award review by the selection committee will be submitted to the Board of Directors for a final decision on granting of the award. An in-person or web conference video interview may be requested before a final determination is made.
